What a super-knowledgeable guy! Van is the Man to help with any and all Plasma issues!
I had 9 blue blinks fault, and he knew immediately what the issue was and promptly sent out the part and full instructions on how to fit. Took roughly an hour to get the TV off the wall, open it up, give it a quick vacuum and then swap the board, re-assemble then back on the wall, worked first time!
Considering his prices has made TVs repairable again. What a great find, and a nice bloke to boot!

Thanks for the info re: two key boards, that let me resolve the blue blink problem! Fortunately, I had a identical model LX5090 in reserve, which had failed due to screen. I tediously removed the rear cover screws and cover from both TVs . There was a tray holding the two key circuit boards. Without removing boards, I disconnected all board connectors, pulled wiring out from tray plastic clips, and tray screws from both TVs and swapped trays. Reassembled all, viola!
